CF11 New Install Requested instance not found: 'AdminMenuService@cb'

This is the error I get during install.

I have the contentbox mapping & the datasource configured in CF11 IIS7.5 2008 Server 64 bit.

I have tried all versions from http://www.gocontentbox.org/ on 2 macs, Win server 2008, XP & win7 nothing worked. :frowning:

You need to call your folder something other than “contentbox” You’re hitting some silly CF mapping bug. See the note about this halfway down our installation doc page:

Yes, tried that, called it CB, CB_old 


I could not get the war, express or source to work anywhere, on any operating system, on Railo or CF.

From what I have just run. All the tables are created, but I get a 404 error.

Make sure you have all the CF updaters installed and then re install your web connectors. That last step is key.

Yes. If you’re using IIS on Windows, there are some nice batch files in C:\ColdFusion11\cfusion\bin\connectors

Try running Remove_ALL_connectors.bat followed by IIS_connector.bat.

I am going to need the short bus.

I must have fat fingered the password & SMTP is not configured properly.

Getting error on trying to e-mail password:

Application Execution Exception
Error Type: ResourceBundle.BundleLoadingException : [N/A]
Error Messages: Error getting language (en_us


Any help?

The resource bundle error is probably an actual bug. No one ever thinks to test those screens


You can just drop the tables in your database and let the installer run through again. Another option is just to create a SHA-256 hash and manually set it in the cb_author table.
