I don’t know how hard it would be to implement, but being the first CMS to incorporate this type of editing would certainly make ContentBox stand out from the crowd. Seems like it should be part of the core. Check out the link…I may well be uninformed (maybe this is part of Wordpress/Mura et al. ), but it seems quite slick and unique…
