No offense. But 8500 databases is NOT gonna happen. I'm not talking about a few sites here.
Seriously I don’t believe you, that would be at least 8 terrabytes of data.
Hang on a tic, I thought you said one database for all sites?
i did say 1 db for all sites.. did i miss something?
not sure how you got that number, but v1 of the application supported
about 8500 sites on mssql and it weighed in about 12gb of db and 2tb
of content.. the database is pretty normalized and the biggest things
in it are a few ntext fields..
v2 is alot slimmer - its currently servicing upwards of 150sites (3500
members)..
