I’ve never actually used rcDecorators– and I’m hoping someone can give a bit of advice on how to use/implement them.
Currently, we’ve hacked the coldbox core to adjust the way viewsexternallocation works – we’ve reversed it, so it uses the external location if a view exists, else falls back to the standard views location. Now, obviously this isn’t ideal, as each time we update cbox we have to “reimplement” this hack.
I’m wondering whether I could use a rcDecorator for this instead?
Most of the docs relating to rcDecorators look a little old – all the config for example relates to coldbox.xml.
Furthermore, we’d like handlersexternallocation to work in the same way (use if a “custom” handler exists, else use the default).
Any help/advice would be welcomed.
Thanks,
Tom.
