Its hard to debug something when we can't see the big picture. What
dependencies your applciation has? How its being loaded,etc?
I can tell you
that most of my sites are running on coldfusion 8, including this one, and they
load up fairly quick using ColdBox and some ColdBox-Transfer. The latter does
take more time due to the class loading bug.
So I would try to analyze where
you are getting the problems and profile your application. The timer plugin is a
great tool that will tell you, what exactly is taking longer than expected.
However, in order to do this, you have to go through your code and analyze it.
