ColdBox on distributed CF architecure

Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on how ColdBox might fare
running in an environment where ColdFusion is on an 'app' server and
IIS is on a separate 'web front end' server? IIS would be passing all
requests for CF managed files (*.cfm, *.cfc, *.etc) to the application
server; IIS would handle all other files (images, *.html, etc).

I don't see how that would make any difference but that's just my
opinion. It should work fine.
