Hibernate Problem

I am getting a weird error.

Application Execution ExceptionError Type: org.hibernate.AssertionFailure : 0

Error Messages: null identifier

If I have the eventHandling = true, then the error above & attached happens however when I turn it off, I no longer get the error.

Any ideas?

I am using Railo 3.3.0013 and the latest ColdBox from Github.

So what is line 159 of your contacts.cfc?

Andrew,

Line 159 is linkService.save(newLink);

basically i am calling the virtual entity save() function to save my new link which is merely a record in my database.

I am guessing that by the error message the newLink may be null, which is why the error is thrown.

Andrew,

You are correct however why does it work perfectly when I turn EventHandling = false does it insert correctly.

When EventHandling = true - mySQL does not auto-generate IDs any more and thus it throws an error.

Ideas?

That doesn’t make sense to me, EventHandling is to do extra things at the time of the event. If switching this off stops the error, then one of these events and I am guessing save as this is the line it errors on, has a problem with the code in the event.
