Layout theme | site wide variables.

Hello,

I’m building my own layout theme right now. At the moment, the filepages.cfm does not contain very much stuff. After activating the theme or using the preview feature, i got only an empty page with now content at all. Really, it wasn’t a big deal so far.
What did i forgot?

An secondly: Where is the right place to set global variables? I like to use them to switch off Google Analytics and other things which makes no sense in the intranet.

Manay thanks.

Which Google Analytics are you using?

If you are using the Module I created, then just turn the module off.

Martin settings can be global or per layout. What would you like

@Luis: Global would be fine,
@Andrew: I know, that a module is available, which i will checkout later on. First i like to move my layout into ContentBox and get a prototype site up and running. After this i will get into all the neat gadgets and gizmos. Step by step :wink:

My layout is now alive, yeppee. I had to run “Reload Application”.

Many thanks.

Global settings are easy. Just use the geek panel to setup settings and use the cbhelper methods for settings to retrieve them.

That’s fully understandable, but yeah that module is also a good example of how settings can be on a per module basis or theme basis if you so desire.
