I think the permalink and author should not be changed automatically if the page or article was already published.

Author is no longer changed-- that was a recent fix.
I agree about the permalink. I’ve actually thought that myself but I’ve never gotten around to putting in a ticket.

What would be the solution? Just not allow it? What if you really want to change the author or perms link?

I would suggest to display a lock icon after the permalink entry field. If the article is published, the permalink is locked. If you click an the icon you can unlock the field

I believe Luis merged the changes manually. If you don’t see the correct code in the development branch by now, that probably means something didn’t get merged correctly.
