Public roadmap please

My perception is that more and more people are relying on Contentbox.
To get more involvement from the community and more security for the updates
it would be good to have a public roadmap.

Maybe it would be good to divide the releases in feature and bug fix releases?

What do you think?

Gunnar

You mean something that takes this

https://ortussolutions.atlassian.net/browse/CONTENTBOX#selectedTab=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.project%3Aroadmap-panel

and expands it to say a year into the future maybe?

Thanks Andrew, I missed that.

Currently things are done when they are done, please correct me if I’m wrong.

I would prefer to have fixed release cycles, let’s say every 2-3 weeks and issues attached to releases.

A few month would be fine for me.

Gunnar, I think a public roadmap would be a very good idea. Luis and I have been very busy with client work and commercial products lately so unfortunately the open source projects seem to fall to the bottom of the list and we’re not as organized on what gets done. A roadmap will probably give you guys a better chance to help pitch in and submit code.

When Luis is back from vacation I’ll be meeting with him for a week and we’ll discuss a roadmap.

Thanks!

As brad said. We are meeting this week on future roadmaps for Ortus products both commercial and open. So if you have any ideas please post them here as well.

As a preview of what’s coming we will be opening two trello boards. One for ColdBox and one for ContentBox as open roadmaps. This will be major features that the community can also suggest and vote but see progress of major items.

Again, like brad said sometimes the open source projects have to wait until our commercial offerings are resolved. With that said, I would welcome all the input now before we begin our meetings Tuesday.
