Can you confirm if this line of code is being run?
getPlugin(“logger”).logErrorWithBean(ExceptionBean);

Also, is your appender correctly configured to log error messages and assigned to the root logger?

Application variables will always expire when the application expires. You cannot change that.

Well if I write a CF batch job that will basically use cflocation to call the page that means the application variable will be reinstated.

You must not be talking about an application variable, because they live for the life of the application. Period. But in any case, this has nothing to do with the original topic of the thread, which you said was resolved now. If you need help with application variables, you’ll need to start a new thread and include the appropriate information when formulating the question.
