Thank you for your suggestions. It appears that the issue is actually a bug with the Flex2Gateway. I am able to recreate the same issue by extending an empty component from a mapped location (it appears the mapped location is key to causing the issue). I’m going to post the issue to the Flex Forums and see if I can find a resolution there.
