I updated to 5.4.0 and since then I have had trouble with views regular old cfm just being cache and my changes not showing. This happens on handlers and models as well. I fwreinit over and over like 5 times sometimes to see a change. I can understand handlers or models not reloading right away but plan cfm files? Did I miss something with the update that would cause this? It just waste time on development to keep spamming refresh.

What version of CFML are you using?
Cf2016.
You should check the engine caching settings because only time you would need reinits is for singletons. Can you also post your coldbox config
