weird question : sessionless coldbox

I have a single site and wanted to know if its possible to have calls to /api/* be stateless/sessionless? and the rest of the site support sessions?

My current work-around solution is to deploy the same codebase to different folders/urls and update them as needed but it would be easier to have 1 url & 1 coldbox app for everything.

I thought of the same thing before I started on an API. Couldn’t figure out a way to have 1 cb app. Now I have an API w/o sessions and another app to admin it with sessions.
