Is there a reason why I have to create or import a widget from the admin panel? I tried writing my own and just dropping it in the widgets folder thinking conventions would do the rest but when I do this and look in the widgets lists it says there is an error with the widget.

I just copied the viewlet.cfc to a new name.
That won’t work as the constructor needs a type
