appendToBuffer doesn't write output

I'm announcing an custom interception point in a view and using
appendToBuffer render some text inline.

Problem is appendToBuffer doesn't produce any output unless I change
the output attribute in FrameworkSupertype.announceInterception() to
true.

Bug? I'm running ACF 9.01

Right on Brett, this is a bug, that function should have output=true, changed it and logged it.
