Are you using apache or IIS virtual host? If so, Please create alias for CFFileServlet folder of your CF instance. Here is my apache vhost file content
Alias /CFFileServlet “C:\ColdFusion10\cfusion\tmpCache\CFFileServlet”
<Directory “C:\ColdFusion10\cfusion\tmpCache\CFFileServlet”>
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride None
Order allow,deny
Allow from all

Eric,
Thanks for alerting us about this issue. I cannot reproduce it however - the captcha appeared properly in all the browsers I tried.
Could you please provide the following information to help us debug this problem?
- What browser are you using, please include version?
- What OS are you using?
- What, if anything, do you see where the captcha should be?

I can confirm that on Linux I get a broken image link on:
FF 17.0
Chromium 20.0.1132.47
Chrome 23.0.1271.64
Opera 12.11
I also get the same result (i.e. no image/broken image link) on Android devices running Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean.
I can confirm that it is now working on all the aforementioned browsers/systems.
I can confirm that I did not do anything to it
