It turned out the problem was with the amount
of memory available to CF.
My office web server is running WINXP Pro with
Apache, Tomcat and CF deployed as a WAR.
Using Tomcat5w.exe I increased the
Initial memory pool to 256 mb and Maximum memory pool 512 mb.
After this it
worked as expected.
