To tell you the truth, if I am going to do coldfusion development, I need
to have the full extent of the language. There are some hosting companies that
restrict creation of components and java objects. Which in my opinion is
ridiculous.
That is why I moved to another hosting company. Most of these
companies restrict it because they had no choice under coldfusion 7 in terms of
security. However, coldfusion 8 does allow for more granular security and there
is no issues with it. So I would just go with a hosting company that offers
coldfusion 8.
Due to the nature of all the structures ColdBox uses, it needs
the ability to create java objects. No way around it.
