Thank you for your comments. As you might now, when dealing with open source, it is not like commercial applications. Time and funding depends on the general availably of client projects. Some years it is slow, some years it is lightning. I would say that the majority of OS software behaves this way. However, we always encourage either for company and people to collaborate with their time, or sponsor features.
Your pull requests have been of great help and have propelled the features to be created in no time thanks to those. So thank you and please keep them coming.
We have a clear roadmap for ContentBox and the features we would like to build. You can see those in Jira. We even have a branch already for ContentBox 3 with our new responsive theme and modern UI. So things have progressed much more than you think, but just without doing any releases yet as mostly we waiting for ColdBox 4 and CommandBox 1 to be released. ContentBox 2.1 already has over 50 issues and features already complete, but we are waiting on a few more items to release.

I think you and the whole team have done great work with all the Box stuff. I’m seeing more and more products are coming from Ortus and I got the feeling that more community involvement could help to speed up develoment.
I would appreciate to get a bit more overview about the current development progress in this mailing list, what’s missing and where help would be needed to finish a release. Also an updated roadmap timeline would be helpful.
This would make it easier for us to jump in if we have spare time.
