Working on a custom module I was surprised to find that saving edits to published content immediately updates the published version. I had expected a work-flow effect where updates saved in the admin area are not visible to the public until the updated content is published (i.e. the version is published, not the content record). Two questions:
- Is this understanding of the actual publishing functionality correct?
- If so, has any thought been given to providing work-flow functionality (publishing specific versions of the content, instead of the latest saved version automatically being published)?
