I’m free most evenings for a meet after 5:30 GMT if that suits anyone. I’ve used G+ Hangouts a few times, while they are good for group video chats I think connect is better at screen sharing but I’m easy.

I agree with Joel, persisting them to the DB would be the better route. That way they can give persistent reminders for stuff like updates.
Maybe they could look like the attached. With a count on the full menu but just an indicator on the closed menu.

Hi guys. I have an update on the ui.
I have migrated to font awesome already and started to incorporate some bootstrap CSS into the ui as well. This way migration will not be so hard.
Please revise my current updates so it can hopefully help the migration.
When can we meet up again? How about after our connection tomorrow.

I've also been doing a fair bit on the UI. I've not integrated
anything with ContentBox yet but have done all the ground work on the
layout and CSS with working main menu and drop downs for the top bar.
I will upload so everyone can see today before the connection.

Yeah it needs some work still for phone sized devices, larger devices will be fine.
Work in progress 
It might be worth considering separate dedicated templates for mobiles. Having the fixed width expandable menu on the side works fine for larger screens but isn’t a great pattern for small screens.
Maybe switch to something like this

I think it looks pretty cool. I also first looked at it my Android Chrome browser first and the left menu consumed the screen. I like the idea of a facebook app-style menu that pulls down from a menu button on top.
