i am trying to update a basic site from coldbox 6.5 to 7. the update command doesn’t make sense here. it lists a major update to coldbox, but then says there are no outdated dependencies and no update occurs. Any ideas?
That means you are on the latest version of the 6.x release. The update command will not perform major version updates due to potential breaking changes.
You will need to manually run box install —force coldbox@7
